Editorial policy

Prime Cinema Guide aims to explain film-viewing choices accurately and plainly. We distinguish established information from interpretation, and make uncertainty visible when details are incomplete or vary by release.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual statements against relevant materials available to the editors, define specialist terms and avoid presenting an interpretation as a fact. Release details can differ across versions, territories and services, so articles identify those limits where they matter and are revised when a meaningful error is found.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favourable view or editorial approval of a film, service or product.

Corrections

Readers can use the Contact page to identify an error and, where possible, point to the passage and the information that should be checked. We review correction requests and update material when warranted, clarifying substantial changes in the relevant article.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where used, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary film stills or evidence.

Our point of view

Context makes choosing easier

A film is more than its title. Knowing a little about its version, credits and presentation can help viewers decide what to watch and what to notice.
